About the Program

Dankook University’s International Summer & Winter School offers students from around the world a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in Korean culture, enhance academic skills, and build lasting global connections. Our program combines cultural experiences, academic courses, and language immersion to create a well-rounded international experience that prepares students for future academic and professional success.

Global Village (GV)

The Global Village (GV) is a peer-to-peer teaching internship where participants teach conversational language to Dankook University students.
Over two weeks, participants lead small-group classes in their native language, focusing on interactive learning and cultural exchange. This program provides a unique opportunity to build meaningful connections with local students, gain firsthand insights into Korean culture, and develop valuable personal and professional skills.

• Flight reimbursement up to US$1,000

Academic Program (AP)

The four-week Academic Program brings together students from around the world to take one or two engaging courses taught by international and DKU professors, with the opportunity to earn transferable credits. Beyond the classroom, participants can enjoy a variety of after-class activities and field trips, this combination of academics and cultural activities ensures an unforgettable summer in Korea.

Korean Immersion Program (KIP)

The Korean Immersion Program is designed for participants who want to fully immerse themselves in Korean language and culture.
Through intensive Korean language classes and engaging cultural activities, students not only learn the language but also experience the culture that makes Korea unique. Part of the classes are taught by DKU students, offering a special opportunity to connect with local peers and make new friends.

International Winter School (IWS)

The International Winter School is a on-campus program where students fully immerse themselves in Korean language and culture.
While enjoying fun cultural activities that let them experience Korea firsthand.
It’s a short yet enriching program that allows students to explore Korea during its beautiful winter season and gain global learning experiences in a warm, welcoming environment.
