단국대학교

교수소개

서울대학교 치과대학을 졸업하고, 성모병원 치과교정과 수련의 과정과 가톨릭 대학교 의과대학 석사, 박사를 마치고 건축으로 전공을 바꿨다. 충북대학교 건축공학과 석사를 거쳐 미국 사이악 건축 석사와 네덜란드 델프트 공대에서 공부하고 미국 RVCA 건축사사무소에서 건축 실무 후 한국으로 돌아와서 서울대학교 건축학과에서 박사를 마쳤다. 미국과 한국에서 다양한 건축 설계 및 연구 등 다수의 실무와 연구 경력을 가지고 있다. 치과교정과 전문의와 네덜란드 건축사 자격을 보유하고 있다.

교육철학

현대 사회의 사회학적, 철학적 통찰력과 현대건축 이론을 바탕으로 건축 분야의 정성적, 정량적 공간분석을 통한 데이터 기반으로 다양한 건축적 근거를 확보하고 그에 따른 적정한 건축 계획 및 건축 설계를 결과화한다. 세계와 사회 현상을 통해 건축을 만들고 건축을 통해 사회를 이해한다.
