The National Model United Nations Conference is hosted by the Korean UN Association, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and KOICA every year, and is the largest and oldest of its kind. This year's conference involved 450 university students from around 50 universities nationwide.

In this year's conference, held in 4 different committees with different topics, team DKMUN participated in the 4th committee (topic: The role of suuport in the realization of Millenium Development Goals) through Park Chunghyun (3rd year) and Lee Chaesang (2nd year) who won best prize as Ugandan delegates, and in the 3rd committee (topic: broad solutions for somalian pirates and armed assaults) through Kim Yujeong (3rd year) and Kim Jiyeon (4th year) who won a merit prize as British delegates.

Park Chunghyun and Lee Chaesang won best prize in the 4th committee by stating that countries countries in need of support should receive not simply food-related support but independence-fostering support such as infrastructure establishment. Park said that "I had been studying this topic as it is also a discussion topic in November's upcoming Busan World Development Support Congerence, and I am glad to have achieved good results. This has been an opportunity to newly study about international support and foreign aid".

Dankook University's Department of Politics and Foreign Relations first received best and merit prizes for its first participation in 2008, and continuously achieved good results, including a Grand Prize in 2010.

Mentor professor Cho Hanseung said that "the students met every week as study groups in order to study Model United Nation Conference rules and discussion topics, and improve their skills by delivering speeches. The establishment of organic ties with senior students who have had experience in these conferences helped us reap constant good results".
