On the morning of October 31, the ceremony for Dankook University's 67th Anniversary was held at Nanpa Concert Hall, Jukjeon Campus.

Nearly 600 professors and personnel attended the event, including Choongsik Chang, Chairman of the Board, President Hosung Chang, and Seogki Yoon, the President of the Alumni Association. The event was to commemorate the 67th anniversary and hope for Dankook's big leap toward the world as a national private university.

"I would like to thank the faculty for devoting themselves to education and fulfilling their duties selflessly," said Choongsik Chang, Chairman of the Board, during his speech. "We were able to overcome difficulties and frustration, achieving incredible growth. I hope you learn from the lessons of the past and continue your devotion while humbly accepting criticism and advice," he added.

President Hosung Chang told the audience that he is "very happy to witness the celebration of the 67th anniversary of Dankook University, founded as the first private university after liberation in 1947, as well as the 7th year after the relocation of the campus," He also mentioned "the government will revise university policies for the next 5 years and it is going to be a crucial moment for us. I hope the members stand together and make a better future for Dankook University."

During the ceremony, the Chairman of the Board's Citations for Achievement as well as the President's Citations were given to the faculty who made contributions toward Dankook University's growth. The recipients consisted of the employees of the university, affiliated hospital and high schools. The Bumeun Academic Awards were also presented to the professors with outstanding research achievements and Citations were given out to those who gave years of service to the university.

As part of the celebrations, Dankook University hosted a Korean dance performance named 'With Oneness Through Dance' for its 67th anniversary at Seongnam Art Center on November 5th.

The Korean dance group, consisting of 80 students and graduates from Dankook University's Dance Department, performed in front of 1,500 people, displaying their refined, colorful dresses and lovely motions unique to its genre.

The first part of the show began with 'Reign of Peace', celebrating the opening of the sky. It was then followed by 'Jindo Drum Dance' and 'Fan Dance', which is considered the world's most beautiful, glamorous dance.

The second part of the show commenced with the celebration of the 25th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and Hungary. Dankook University has been part of frequent exchanges with Hungary since its partnership with Budapest University of Engineering began. It featured a special performance by renowned Hungarian violinist Mága Zoltán.

Mága Zoltán played songs that the audiences are familiar with, such as Brahams' V. Magyar Tánc and Vittorio Monti's Csárdás. He also played Korea's national folk song, 'Arirang', for curtain call and received a standing ovation from the crowd.

After the performance, President Hosung Chang appeared on stage to shake hands with Mága Zoltán and every member of the Korean dance group, showing appreciation for their wonderful performances.
