Dankook delivered 10 million won for relief aid to the Embassy of Nepal in Korea.

The handover ceremony was held at the Embassy of Nepal in Korea on Thursday, May 28. Dr. Yongbin Kim, Associate Vice President for External Affairs at Dankook University, and Sujan Shakya attended the ceremony. Sujan is a Nepali student who graduated from Dankook and is now appearing on several TV programs. Sujan has appealed to Dankook students for continuous support for the Nepali people. Dankook responded to Shakya’s appeal by organizing a charity event for the victims of the Nepal earthquake.

“I was so touched by Dankook’s continuous contributions to the relief programs,” said Kaman Singh Lama, the Ambassador of Nepal to Korea. “The donation will be a great help for the victims of the Nepal earthquake.” The charity event for the victims of Nepal earthquake was held from April 30 to May 8. The amount of money collected during the campaign was 10,267,922 won. The donations were collected from booths set up in front of Hyedang Hall (Student Union Building) and several cafeterias around the campus, and more than 400 students and faculty members have donated through this campaign.
