Marine boy, Taehwan Park (junior majoring in physical education at Dankook University) made a new Korean history in the field of swimming by winning 3 gold medals in the 16th Guangzhou Asian game.

Tae Hwan Park won the races of 100m, 200m, and 400m in a row, winning total 7 medals along with two of silver medal and two of bronze medal in freestyle and medley relays.

Especially in the 200m freestyle, he recorded 1 mins 44s 80, shortening 0.05 of what he recorded in Beijing Olympic in 2008, and it was a new record in the Asian. The records of Tae Hwan Park in the 200m and 400m of freestyle (3m41s53) was the top record in the world of the year.

Taw Hwan Park achieved three gold medals in the fall asian games two times in a row for the first time among Korean athletes. In addition, he beats records in Korean swimming history, leading his own way. Six gold medals in Asian games are the most gold medal records in Korean swimming history, and he achieved total 14 medals, breaking the most asian game medal records.


From Guangzhou to London
