As metaverse technology expands across various fields, joint technology development between Dankook University and the KOSDAQ firm Shinwha Intertek is creating buzz.

The I-Dasan LINC+ Educational Development Institute (Director Seung Jun Chang) announced its blueprint to start developing technology for the metaverse platform after selecting Shinwha Intertek Corp. as the first partner company to set up an office on the Jukjeon campus. At the ‘META-REAL Lab’ on the 6th floor of the Glocal Industry-Academia Cooperation Building, research will be carried out on areas applying metaverse technology to displays such as futuristic car displays, XR glasses that embrace augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR), and foldable source material.

“Dankook will spare no effort in extending both manpower and physical support to drive growth in various fields, including developing the local economy, creating jobs for youth, and opening future markets,” said DKU President Soo-bok Kim at the opening ceremony held on January 12th.
