I was graduated from the ROK Naval Academy in 1986 majoring the Management Science. At the same time, I was commissioned second lieutenant of ROK Marine Corps. After that I served in the ROK MC for about 26years working at the front and rear area as commander and staff. I was retired as Lieutenant Colonel at the end of 2011 and served as a research member of the ROKMC Combat Development Studies Committee for one year, 2012. Finally, I was posted the head of ROK Marine Corps Military Studies Department on March 1 2013. My main research areas are Military Strategy focusing the construction and operation Military forces, and the foreign/defense policies of US, Russia, EU (NATO), and International Institutes.
