Introduction

Born in Seoul, Hyung-Min Lee studied at Seoul Arts High School and completed her undergraduate degree at Seoul National University, Korea. She subsequently went to the United States and acquired a Performer's Certificate as well as Master's and Doctoral Degrees in Piano Performance and Literature from the Eastman School of Music.
She has received top prizes at various national and international competitions, such as Corpus Christi International Competition, and has also received several prestigious awards, including the Max Landow Memorial Scholarship Award and the Liberace Scholarship Award.
Hyung-Min Lee has attained critical acclaim through numerous public performances in the US, Korea, UK, Austria, Poland, Germany, France, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Rumania, China and Philippines. Also, she has appeared as soloist with world-famous orchestras such as the Vienna Symphony Orchestra, the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra, the Czech Chamber Orchestra, the Shenzehn Symphony Orchestra, and the Wroclaw Philharmonic Orchestra among others.
In 1997, she made a recording of Mozart Piano Concerto with the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra and has gained favorable comments from several reviews. Also her first solo recording sponsored by Korean National Broadcasting was released in 2000. This recording included works by Scarlatti, Schumann, Ginastera, Debussy, Chopin and Liszt. Her most recent recording of Mozart, Bruch, Reinecke Trios was released in 2008.
She lives in Korea, which serves as her base for concert activities around the world as well as recordings of solo and chamber music. Also she is currently a professor at Dankook University and the Artistic Director of G.rium Hall in SK chemicals.
