Madam Younghee Lee (2nd semester of masters studies in Ceramics) donated 100 million won for university development.

Madam Younghee Lee, currently undergoing her graduate studies in Ceramics (2nd semester, master’s) donated 100 million won for university development to President Hosung Chang on February 27th.
“My relation with the university started when I entered graduate school here in 2011, and my classes have brought me to love the university,” said Lee. “I hope that this donation can be used for educating excellent students and developing the university.”
Meanwhile, Madam Lee is planning to open an individual exhibition on April 18th at Insadong Gallery with her ceramic pieces she has made since entering the university last year.


Family of deceased Manjung Daebong Kang donated 10 million won the University Scholarship Fund

In remembrance of the 10th anniversary of the passing of his wife’s father, the late Manjung (晩亭) Daebong Kang (姜大鳳), Hakjun Kim, the Chairman of the Dankook University Educational Foundation, donated 10 million won for scholarship funding in conjunction with the family of the deceased on March 2nd. Chairman Kim and the family of the deceased said that they will donate 10 million won every year starting this year following the will of the late Kang under the title ‘Manjung (晩亭) Scholarship’ following the late Kang’s pen name. Five students per year will be selected to receive the scholarship, and each will receive 2 million won.

Manjung (晩亭) Daebong Kang (姜大鳳, 1915-2002) was born in Jeonju City and graduated from Kyungsung Professional School of Law. He is noted for his work as the executive director of Seoul Bank and as the first president of Seoul Guarantee Insurance Co., Ltd.


The Medical School Alumni Association donated 10 million won for the University Development Fund

The Medical School Alumni Association (President Jungkeun Hyun, professor of Nano Biomedicine) donated 10 million won for university development to President Hosung Chang at Cheonan Campus on March 30 at 11:30am.
A spokesperson for the Medical School Alumni Association said that the association will continue to support future university development and young students’ studies.
