Introduction

Meejung Yoo began playing the piano when she was five years old, and has a formidable background in her early training.In her youth, she won several major competitions including Ewha Competition and the Korea Times Competition. 
She arrived in the United States as a teenager and entered the Peabody Conservatory of Music.  
 
Meejung received Bachelor‘s and Master's degree of Music, where she studied under Fernando Laires and Julian Martin.  She then went onto Yale School of Music and studied under Boris Berman where she received Artist Diploma. 
 
During her stay in the United States, she won many competitions including the Richmond Symphony Orchestra Competition and the Ohio Youngstown Symphony Orchestra Competition. As a result, she performed with orchestra under the direction of Peter Bay and David Effron.  
 
Additionally, she had also won awards for many competitions including Yale Gordon at Peabody, the Performers of Connecticut, and the Washington International Competition. 

After returning to Korea, Ms Yoo had numerous solo recitals, orchestra performances and chamber music concerts.  
She also has the honor of being invited as a guest artist and visiting professor at the New Millennium Piano Festival in Gijon of Spain in 2002. In 2004, Meejung played complete Mozart Piano Sonatas in series of four concerts at Kumho Art Hall (Seoul). As a result, she released the complete sonatas sponsored by Kumho Asiana Cultural Foundation .
She also performed with KBS Orchestra, Daejeon , Jeju, Sungnam, Mokpo Philharmonic Orchestra.
 
She appeared as a soloist in Orchestra Festival at Seoul Arts Center in the year of 2006, 2011, 2014 and performed with Festival Orchestra in October of 2014.
