교수소개

본인은 1992년 병리학에 입문하여, 주로 병원병리 분야에서 조직 및 세포를 통
한 병의 진단에 관한 업무를 하였다. 병리학적 진단은 고전적으로 최종 진단으
로 인식되어 온 바 책임감으로 인한 심리적인 스트레스도 만만치 않았지만, 현
미경 속의 정상과 비정상적인 세포 및 조직 소견은 매우 경이롭고 다양하여 지
적 흥미를 자극하기에 충분하였다.

본인은 병원병리 분야에서 기본적으로 진단을 담당하고 있지만, 절제된 인체
조직을 최종적으로 취급하는 분야에서 일하고 있는 만큼 인체 조직를 재료로
다양한 연구 방법을 통하여 질병의 발생기전 및 예후 인자 등을 연구하고 있다.

본인이 가장 관심있는 분야는 위장관 및 간. 담도계 질환이며 현재의 연구 방법
은 주로 병리조직학적 및 면역조직학적 방법을 이용하고 있으나 분자생물학적
방법을 접목하여 연구하고자 희망하며 계획하고 있다.
