The ‘7th DKU Edu Fair’ hosted by Dankook University’s Office of Admissions was held amid strong support from prospective students and parents.
The fair was held at the DKU Jukjeon Campus gymnasium on Saturday, August 19th under the theme ‘Spread your Wings of Dreams’ with 28 universities from around the nation including Ajou University, Inha University and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies also participating.
The fair contributed to lowering private consulting fees by offering ‘admissions counseling’ tailored to individual students, as well as providing information on the different admissions programs by university. In addition, details on how to prepare for student record screening admissions and other strategies were shared through consultation with admissions officers and officials.
Students from Dankook University’s departments of journalism, architectural engineering, mechanical engineering and chemical engineering set up an ‘experience booth’ for visitors to experience activities related to each respective major.
At the Cheonan Campus, the fair was held earlier on August 10th with a total 74 universities and 11 colleges from around the country attending including Chung-Ang University and the University of Seoul.
The university and college section offered PR material on each school and admissions counseling while at the consultation section, 50 professional college admission counselors met one-on-one with students and parents to provide guidance on the rolling admissions program and potential career paths. The special lecture section held various lectures on topics such as ‘successful strategy for writing essays’ and ‘rolling admissions strategy for the metropolitan and Chungcheong province’ aimed at students, parents and teachers.
Thirteen departments from Dankook University including the departments of psychotherapy, healthcare administration and Marine Corps military studies, and four major programs from Konyang University including its Military Science and Police Administration College and department of cyber security engineering offered career experience programs filled with lectures and opportunities to get an upfront look at different majors.
